This project visualizes the intersection of tradition and technology by reconstructing a Korean ceramic vessel using digital blocks. The shape is generated with pixel-like tiles, referencing both modular systems and visual distortion. The piece explores how digital media transforms the perception of familiar objects — blurring the line between realism and abstraction, heritage and reinterpretation
Blockware reinterprets traditional Korean ceramics as modular digital blocks. I used generative AI to create the base images, then wrote a custom script in Processing to transform them into pixelated tiles that scatter and disperse. Finalized in Premiere Pro, the work explores how digital media can deconstruct and re-imagine cultural heritage through a mix of technology and tradition.
